Knowledge Transfer (SKY)

The SKY Team manages the Yordas Insight training platform and coordinates training delivery to clients. We also manage the delivery of EU funded projects where we are responsible for scientific dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities. We monitor tender opportunities on a regular basis and support tender preparation where relevant opportunities arise.

Digital

The software team in Yordas Digital write our Hive application and look after the Yordas SaaS platform, as well as applications for external clients and a range of internal software (Timesheets, Otis, Hazel).

Legal

Managing risk and liability, our legal team provides advice and guidance on commercial and employment law. We also manage the terms and conditions and contractual arrangements with clients, suppliers and other third parties. 

IT & Systems

The IT & Systems team administers and supports the Group’s business systems, hardware and software. We are currently a UK based team, but we support staff all around the world using remote access software

Sales & Marketing

The Marketing and Sales team support our Profit Centres and the wider business in building a viable sales pipeline by working to identify and nurture prospects through to qualified leads, often guiding the customer journey through to the sale.   Embedded in these processes there are several key disciplines that as a team we support.

  • As Brand guardians, we work to maintain and develop the Yordas brand, which provides us with a position in the market that is essential in providing a foundation to deliver our marketing services.
  • Thought-Leadership Content Development, producing high-quality content like articles, whitepapers, case studies, newsletters, videos, and direct email. These materials position the firm as a thought leader in its field generating Public Relations opportunities and attracting clients seeking expert advice and services.
  • Digital Marketing and Social Media presence, utilising digital platforms to reach and engage potential clients. This includes developing our SEO and PPC strategies to improve the visibility of our content.
  • In addition, we support the delivery of company Webinars and Events that reinforce our market and thought-leadership position and generate interest in our services.  To increase Audience Share within the target territories and vertical markets by conducting market  
  • Building Strategic Alliances by building a network of strategic alliances and partnerships. These relationships can lead to new business opportunities and collaborations that enhance the firm's service offerings and market position.
  • Insidesales provides a link and point of requalification for sales leads and offers administrative support to the sales process.
  • Sales and Account Management guide clients through their sales journey and maintain and develop the client relationship to enable retention and/or cross-selling of other Yordas services.
  • Customer Success focuses on the post-sale journey and proactively challenges our clients to achieve their outcomes while maximising their use of Yordas products or services.
  • Performance Tracking, SAP Management and Analytics using metrics and analytics to track the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts allowing us to reflect and evolve.

STAR

The STAR team assists and supports importing and exporting organisations in achieving compliance with chemical regulations to secure access to global markets. Most of the work in STAR is driven by EU/UK REACH, Turkey REACH, global notifications, Product Regulations on Biocides, Cosmetics, Food Contact Materials and Oil and Gas.

Our regulatory team interpret regulations, advise clients on strategic decisions and are supported by partners globally ensures that we can offer local representation where required that can verify requirements, regulatory interpretation and registration strategies to clients, as well as direct communication with the authorities.

Our scientific team of highly qualified chemists, toxicologists, exposure modellers and environmental scientists prepare technical dossiers on substances and products to meet the regulatory requirements of compliance. The team has extensive expertise in commissioning chemical and physico-chemical analysis and (eco)toxicological testing and also specialise in providing alternatives to testing by writing expert assessments, which have been used successfully to fulfill regulatory requirements. 

Our expert services also  include techno-regulatory management and consultation, exposure modelling and risk assessments, as well as scientific troubleshooting and technical and methodological mapping and strategy.
All STAR consultants contribute to deliver training for Yordas Insight and to support the SKY team to prepare and deliver tenders.

Product Stewardship and sustainability

The work and expertise of the Product Stewardship team generally centres around regulatory data management and hazard communication.

We maintain the Hive database, we create custom databases and monitor emerging regulations for specific clients, and make Safety Data Sheets and labels.
Other services we provide include Poison Centre Notifications and SCIP Notifications. We also have Data Science expertise that underpins a lot of our data management work.

The team also delivers sustainability services to help clients achieve a circular economy utilising science-based solutions such as sustainable chemicals management, life cycle assessment, ecolabels and management systems. The sustainability team has collective expertise in environmental science, environmental engineering, green chemistry and corporate sustainability. 

Finance

The Finance department is responsible for obtaining and handling funds for all of the Yordas entities and controls the income and expenditure for the company. Key activities the team performs:
  • Payroll and all payroll related activities including pension and taxable as well as non-taxable benefits
  • Expense management
  • Procurement
  • Invoicing
  • Debtors management
  • Insurance

The team manages the bookkeeping and accounting for all Yordas’ entities and works closely with accountants in the UK, Germany, Canada, Turkey and Japan. The finance department plans and implements Yordas’ yearly budget and runs a monthly forecast. Both the budget and the forecast are essential in planning and providing informed decisions that are critical to expansion.

The team works closely with the IT & Systems team and maintains and supports the use of Yordas’ ERP system in order to improve efficiencies across the company.

Human Resources

The HR department is responsible for an outcome focused service for the employee lifecycle:  Recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training and development, progression, employee salary / benefits administration and employee relations.

We provide management with people management advice, support and coaching and risk-based information on HR and employment relations issues, in line with the business policies, procedures and legal requirements.

We devise and lead all HR related projects.  Strategies formulated and implemented include: Training, well-being, recruitment, induction, career progression and succession planning.   

We are accountable for driving global initiatives with multi-site team members in the U.S., Europe and Asia and deliver an HR service of all activities, ensuring principles, timelines and parameters are set to deliver a consistent approach across the business. These include performance management, employee engagement, promotions, pay reviews, talent management and succession planning.
